Performance

Range Rover

When it comes to dealing with rough weather or rugged terrain, the Range Rover has no rival. It comes with standard all-wheel drive (AWD) and a twin-speed transfer box with an electronic center differential and runs on an electronic air suspension.

This gives it a high ground clearance and the ability to maintain traction and stability in just about any driving condition. It can even adjust to different situations with Adaptive Dynamics and Terrain Response®.

Performance Specs & Capability

This system gives you selectable driving mode settings, such as:

  • Grass/Gravel/Snow
  • Mud & Ruts
  • Sand
  • Rock Crawl

To help you power through the elements, the Range Rover offers multiple exceptional engines. The most powerful option is the 4.4L V8 P530 engine that gets up to 523 horsepower and 533 lb-ft of torque.

On the other hand, the Cadillac Escalade comes with rear-wheel drive. While it does offer available AWD and some selectable driving modes, it’s not nearly as prepared for different types of terrain as the Range Rover.

It’s also not quite as powerful. While there are a couple of engines to choose from, its most powerful option is a 6.2L V8. Unfortunately, this powertrain can only get up to 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.

Interior

Range Rover

With the finest leather upholstery and stylish interior accents, the Range Rover and the Cadillac Escalade both offer the kind of luxury that never goes out of style. Each one of these SUVs offers leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and stylish inlays in a variety of styles.

Inside Your Luxury SUV

They also feature enough cargo room to load everything, from a few bags and boxes to bicycles and furniture. Both SUVs are also available with a long wheelbase that gives your passengers extra space to stretch out.

The Range Rover takes advantage of this space by letting passengers literally kick back and relax. It offers power-reclining rear seats as well as a heated calf rest and heated armrests. Plus, you can stay comfortable with massaging front seats.

The Cadillac also offers a massage feature for the driver and front passenger, but it doesn’t offer the same sort of lounging experience for your back-seat passengers. There’s no heated armrest, calf rest, or reclining rear seats.

Safety

Range Rover

In addition to its traction and stability, the Range Rover also provides peace of mind during everyday driving, with lots of safety features. These help prevent accidents by giving you more awareness as you drive.

Range Rover vs Cadillac Escalade: Safety Features

Some of the standard and available safety technologies include:

  • Driver Condition Monitor
  • Emergency Braking
  • Lane Keep Assist
  • Adaptive Cruise Control

While most of these driver-assistance features watch the road and help you stay within your lane, the Driver Condition Monitor analyzes your driving patterns and reminds you to keep your eyes on the road or consider taking a break.

The Cadillac Escalade has several similar safety features, but it doesn’t offer anything that can tell when you’re tired or distracted, like the Driver Condition Monitor in the Range Rover.
